Wikileaks and climategate: An inconvenient truth

Hippies are in full lather over a story by Ed Brayton that conservatives calling for Julian Assange’s head didn’t mind so much when Wikileaks revealed the Climategate emails:

It was only a year ago that Assange was a hero to conservatives, who used those emails — and continue to use them — to claim that global warming is a giant hoax.

Just one problem, Wikileaks had nothing to do with the leak of documents and emails from the University of East Anglia, although publicity hound Assange attempted to claim otherwise. He was late to the party and the criminal investigation into the leak is ongoing, which pretty much says it all.

Wikileaks first upload of the Climategate files happened November 21st at 2.50am EST. The Daily Bayonet’s first post on what came to be known as Climategate was posted November 20th. Busted, much?

These are the same people that claim to be smart enough to know the planet is melting but can’t check a simple fact from just a year ago, preferring instead to play ideological gotcha. Well, this time hippies are the ones found out. Facts do not matter to the closed minds of the climate cult, but you already knew that.

Here’s a bonus hottie, because it’s the weekend and you’re worth it.
