The far left in America must be wondering what happened in the week since John McCain announced Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his VP running mate.
Despite the ugly attempts by the far-left blogs like Daily Kos and Democratic Underground (no links) to destroy her with vicious rumor and misogyny, their attempts have mostly blown back in their faces.
Consider the case of popular US Weekly, a gossip rag run by Obama fan Jann Wenner. Compare the covers for the Palin and Obama issues that have resulted in thousands of lost subscriptions:
The left tried to deride her experience, only to have Obama diminish by comparison as he found himself defending his record against the Republican VP candidate.
The left made Palin such a compelling story that 40 million people tuned in to watch her barn-storming speech Wednesday night. That’s 2 million more than watched Obama the previous week. Oops.

As the left attacks, with the complicit media at the vanguard, they drive moderate voters straight into the welcoming open arms of a transformed and energized Republican party. But they can’t see it, and they won’t until it is perhaps too late. If Obama loses November 4th, America will be rocked by the sound of lefty heads exploding across the nation.
