Greens can’t catch a break.
The UK’s coalition of doom has committed the nation to a forest of wind farms, just as news breaks that wind speeds in the northern hemisphere have slowed by as much as 15%.
Over the past 30 years surface winds underwent an average 10 per cent decrease with larger trends at stronger winds. As wind electricity production is much more efficient at stronger winds, a continuation of such trends would lead to a major loss of wind power production.
The pro-bird shredder lobby says the significant drop in wind speed is no biggie. These are the same people that would have you believe that a few extra parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere is enough to doom the planet and thereby justify the existence of wind turbines.
