Richard Cooke, an Australian warmist, has woken up to the fact the the great global warming hoax is over, and it’s making him sick.
His diagnosis is as fake as global warming science, ‘solastalgia’ is “a form of psychic or existential distress caused by environmental change“.
Ecotarded, in other words.
Feel Cooke’s melancholy:
How did we get here, wanting to be somewhere else? The anorak nature of the debate can’t help (as I write this, I know a retired engineer somewhere is readying an unintelligible post about how the hockey stick graph is rubbish - check the comments section when this article goes online); nor can the weary return to the left-right argument about regulation versus risk, which would operate in exact reverse if the solution proposed involved launching cruise missiles. Then there’s the stall when gears change between talk and action. But none of those things are really fresh - there’s something deeper, more nefarious and more stupid happening right now. Climate change has fallen out of fashion.
Go figure, Dick. Glamorous people like Leo DiCaprio climbed aboard the global bandwagon for a while, but now that global warming science is as over as Al and Tipper, they’re running off to the next cause du jour that needs vacuous pretty people to furrow their botoxed brows and look earnest for the cameras as they gaze at something endangered. Like California, perhaps.

I made it through, but oddly had 13 crayola yellows in each nostril at the end of the post.
Thanks for explaining why, it had been bothering me.
I came across this guy’s thesis on solastalgia a while ago, and considered a knock-down-drag out ecotard bashing on my blog, but in the end I gave up. The overwhelming stupid sapped my ability to think straight. Halfway through reading his drivel I got the urge to shove crayons up my nose. Kudos to you for making it through!:)
Nice to see that a satirist in Australia can score a direct hit on a clueless victim with a hockey stick.
The reason some retired engineer somewhere is readying an unintelligible post about how the hockey stick graph is rubbish is, of course, because it is.
Amen ! About time that the econuts and blah blah blah celebrities get it straight. But now, it’s on to the next “in Fashion” issue to come along. I grew up in California, when it was good and it is a disaster now…glad I’m 3,000 miles away !
