Ok, here is the first part of my series about the medieval warming period.
As I said in my previous post:
Remember how James Hansen (NASA), Michael Mann (Pennsylvania State University), Phil Jones (CRU) and IPCC et consortes made such a determined effort over a long time to erase the medieval warming period. They slowly diminished it until they finally succeeded in erasing it from the “official “data.
And how they at great length went about to hide all their manipulations, “tweaking” and ” adjustments”.
Why all these concerted efforts? Very simple, the very existence of the medieval warming period (not to speak of the Roman Warming Period), made mockery of their Global Warming Hysteria.
How can you blame the humans for this when the temperature was much higher and have risen faster during this medieval period. So it officially “disappeared”.
So here are the data that officially disappeared from the temperature “record”.
The first one is from the GISP2 ice core data for Greenland during the last 10 500 years.
About 1,000 years ago average temperatures were about 1 degree higher than today .
About 2,100 years ago average temperatures were about 2 degrees higher than today.
About 3,300 years ago average temperatures were about 3 degrees higher than today.
About 7,000 years ago and 8,000 years ago the average temperatures were also about 3 degrees higher than today.
Also notice the sharp swings up and down in temperature during very short time spans. For example notice the sharp increase in temperature 3,100 years ago. That rise alone, is nearly double what the Global Warming Hysterics say that the predictions of their computer models is going to happen during the next 100 years.
And we humans had nothing to do with this whatsoever.
Anything else standing out?
During nearly all those 10,500 years it was warmer to MUCH warmer than today.
At the end of the time period you see the beginning of the sharp drop in temperature which you see in the Vostok graph in my previous post.

Thanks for the tip, but I already know about that site. He does a great job with his graphs where he makes them more “presentable” to the audience.
But I always prefer the “raw” and original graphs.
The biggest problem with all this data is that in many cases the graphs are made by scientists for scientists. Which means they usually are very difficult for “normal” people to understand because of scale, notation etc.
Also I always want to refer/link to the original source.
I have one rule when it comes to graphs - If you can not immediately understand what a graph is about and what it tells, there is no point in using it. So there are many graphs that I don’t use because of that. Sorry to say.
