Hippies sometimes have a rough go of it on The Daily Bayonet, but not today.

Hippies have been delivered such good news it’s possible their mellow little heads may instantaneously explode with pure karmic joy. And love, brothers and sisters, never forget the L.O.V.E. It’s all we need.

The VW Minibus is back. And it’s electric, baby. Not only is the hippie-mobile eco-friendly, groovy cats can control the 8-track with an iPad and it comes with climate control. Take that, global warming downerville. It’s totally outtasight, dude:

Volkswagen is showing a concept version of the van — known by its German nickname, the Bulli — at the Geneva Auto Show this week. Among the six-seater’s modern twists: It’s powered by an electric motor and uses an iPad to control the entertainment system, climate control and other functions.

The new bus is called the Bulli (insert your own joke here), and although Volkswagen haven’t confirmed it for production yet, it has more green cred and appeal than the Man’s government motors Chevy Volt could ever dream of. Move over Prius, Leaf and G-Wiz, hippies have a new ride.
