Britain’s police have been told to drive more sedately to save the environment.
It [the Driving Standards Agency] warns officers to avoid “excessive” revving, to accelerate gently and use engine braking, where you take your foot off the accelerator where appropriate. They should also minimise air conditioning use, switch the engine off when waiting for long period and plan their route to avoid traffic.
